A “workshop” is usually thought of as a space where people work and
create new objects of value, where something new is created or something
old is repaired or renovated. And that is the essence of this
semester-long programme. We see the intensive and active development of
the competences needed for teaching as crucial for improving the quality of teaching
at Masaryk University and for the professional growth of teachers. We
firmly believe that the care given to teachers leads to an increase in
their motivation and to the acquisition of good teaching habits. This
can also lead to increased satisfaction with the quality of teaching on
the part of both teachers and learners.
