One of the most effective ways of studying vocabulary are flashcards. You can make them, print them, or use them online. This option is offered by Quizlet.

IS MU Drill

Tips for studying vocabulary. 

IS drill. 

You can use the drill in the IS (MU), complete with pictures, illustrative sentences and recordings.


On your computer

Apart from practising the vocabulary online, you can also study off-line, using your own computer, especially if you are already using the Lingea Lexicon. Hearing the expressions pronounced enhances the process of learning (5Dslovníček). Interlex works with vocabulary lists that you can create - two examples are provided. And last but not least, you can try dowloading Moje slovíčka.

This list is by no means exhaustive but seems to include the most accessible and easy-to-use software.

    The software can be downloaded from the English-online.czwebsite.
    Ve volně stažitelné shareware verzi je omezen počet skupin, balíčků a slovíček, s nimiž lze pracovat. Maximálně tak můžete mít:
    • 2 skupiny,
    • 3 balíčky v každé skupině,
    • 20 slovíček v každém balíčku.
    Funkčně není program omezen.

On your mobile

Both Quizlet and IS MUNI drill can be used on all hand-held mobile devices. Apart from many other applications (like Memrise, Duolingo, etc.), there is also Mooveez (https://www.mooveez.com/cs/s-filmy-moovez-se-naucite-i-mluvit-56.html), where you can study English from films.
